Creativity and the ability to create new things is a powerful tool in the business world, and according to a study done at the Institute of Development, Aging and Cancer (IDAC), Tohoku University, creativity can still be extended in adults, such as by reading books.
\nThe experiment started with a request from a company who wanted their “employees’ creativity to grow”. The challenge was to have the employees read two paperback books within a month.
\nResults showed that employees who read the books improved their psychological test for creativity, but the employees who did not read any books showed no change. Also, employees who already had a habit of reading were also more likely to show better growth in creativity.
\nThe part of the brain that is used to create new things is the same as the part related to vocabulary and handling words. Therefore, reading books and learning new words can increase creativity.
\nIt is also recommended to read books that you normally would not read to improve creativity better.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
