There are many things to study for such as math formulas, history and vocabulary. When we learn things, our prefrontal cortex is active and the areas related to memory depends on what we want to remember such as sentences, math formulas, figures, names of historical people and so forth. For this reason, studying different things make different areas of our brain active. This way, the brain can develop in a balanced manner and remembering different things is very important for the brain.
However, it is not possible to firmly establish “knowledge” simply by working the prefrontal cortex. In order to make it easier to retrieve what you have learned, it is important to learn with repetition so that what you want to remember can be firmly established in your brain. It is safe to say that the knowledge you learned is well established if you can retrieve and find answers quickly and accurately.
There are many ways to learn such as through writing in a notebook, making voice memos, remembering by speaking out loud or even by creating sentences with new vocabulary. So, how about finding a more “memorable” way to remember things that suit you the best?
