Although a routine walk is good for your health and brain, it may be difficult to achieve walking 8,000 steps at-a-go. Therefore, it is more realistic that 8,000 steps be spread out into a day and to take every opportunity to “speed-walk” such as when shopping or strolling.
In addition, changing the way you “move” such as instead of commuting by car, trying out public transportation or even a bicycle is much better. By taking public transportation such as a bus or train, you will have to use your brain more by having to think of situations such as the “time”, “route” and “boarding location”, which can naturally work the various functions of the brain.
Overall, it is recommended to move around on foot, bicycle or public transportation as it increases the time to walk. Not only does this increase the chance of aerobic exercise, but by walking more, you can breathe in the outside air which stimulates the five senses, making the brain more active.
